If Canada could boast to the world about its anti-child-porn efforts the same way it brags about hockey, police here might have nothing to complain about but the perverts themselves. The truth is, on an international level, Canada isn’t regarded as a country truly devoted to the protection of its children, child advocates, law agencies and politicians say.
Sharpe Decision

I wrote to you when the Sharpe case was before the Supreme Court of Canada. I asked that the federal government intervene in this matter and consider invoking the notwithstanding clause of the Charter to override legal decisions that do not recognize nor combat child pornography. Certainly, the restriction of individual freedoms guaranteed under the Charter is justifiable when those limitations protect the most vulnerable of Canadian society – its children.
